Be Part of Penn State Tradition – Join the Capital Area Chapter in the 2026 Penn State Homecoming Parade!

The Capital Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is inviting alumni from Dauphin, Cumberland, and Lebanon Counties to help us create an unforgettable presence in the 2026 Penn State Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

This year's parade carries even greater significance as it takes place during America's 250th Anniversary, giving us a unique opportunity to celebrate not only the traditions of Penn State, but also the enduring spirit of our nation and the communities we proudly represent.

Whether you enjoy building, creating, decorating, or simply want to walk alongside fellow Penn Staters in one of the University's most cherished traditions, we would love to have you on our team.

There Are Two Great Ways to Participate

Help Build Our Float

Our float comes to life because of volunteers who are willing to share their creativity, craftsmanship, and enthusiasm. No special experience is required—just a willingness to lend a hand, work with fellow alumni, and have fun while creating something we can all be proud of.

Walk in the Homecoming Parade

Represent the Capital Area Chapter by walking with our float through the streets of Happy Valley on Saturday, October 10. Wearing your Penn State pride, you'll help demonstrate the strength and spirit of alumni from our region while celebrating alongside thousands of students, alumni, families, and fans.

Let's Show What the Capital Area Can Do

The Capital Area Chapter represents one of the largest and most passionate Penn State alumni communities in the Commonwealth. Homecoming gives us the opportunity to showcase the pride, dedication, and volunteer spirit that define our chapter.

This year, let's make our participation worthy of the historic occasion. As our nation commemorates 250 years of American independence, let's demonstrate that the Penn State community continues to embody service, leadership, unity, and a commitment to something greater than ourselves.

Imagine standing shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow alumni as thousands of spectators cheer, the Blue Band fills the air with familiar songs, and our chapter proudly passes by representing generations of Penn Staters who continue to make a difference long after graduation.

These are the moments that remind us that Penn State isn't simply where we earned a degree—it is a lifelong family.

Every Volunteer Makes a Difference

Whether you can volunteer for a few hours helping build the float or join us on parade day, your participation will help make this year's Homecoming celebration one to remember.

Bring your family. Invite fellow alumni. Reconnect with old friends. Make new ones. Most importantly, help us create lasting memories while representing the alumni of Dauphin, Cumberland, and Lebanon Counties with pride.

Let's celebrate Penn State's traditions, honor America's 250th Anniversary, and show everyone what the Capital Area Chapter can accomplish when we come together on October 10, 2026.

We Are... Penn State!
