Scholarship Online Auction Donations

Looking for Donations to Help Us Raise Funds to Support Our Scholarship Initiatives.  Many of Our PSU Students are in Critical Need.

Since 1992 the Capital Area Chapter has funded an endowment through PSAA that awards annual scholarships to students who meet the need criteria established by the University. The Chapter holds events throughout the year to raise monies for the scholarship fund and also receives individual donations through the website at:

We are all experiencing unique challenges that 2020 and the pandemic are presenting to us.  This includes challenges presented to each of us individually, at our places of employment, and with non-profit organizations including the Chapter.

Amid the unique times that we currently find ourselves, it is important to remember why we engage in these fundraising efforts.  The scholarships we present are ultimately available thanks to the support of our membership - including yourselves.  The scholarships allow students to make their dreams of a college education become a reality.  The bonus is that they can do so at the greatest institution in existence and join each of us as proud alumni of The Pennsylvania State University.

Since the current environment does not allow us to do normal in-person fundraising events, we are exploring the possibility of a virtual auction.

We are seeking volunteers to donate items for the auction which the Chapter will then run online.  The donated items may include sports memorabilia with appropriate certificates of authenticity, other Penn State themed items or even gift cards / certificates to local businesses.

As the pandemic presents challenges with face-to-face gatherings, we would also ask that you be willing to ship your donated items to the winning bidder at the end of the auction.

All proceeds from the auction will directly support the Chapter's Scholarship Fund.

If you are able to help with the donation of items for the auction, please reach out via email to

Thank you for considering the support of this fundraising effort and the students that will ultimately benefit from it.
